Artist Mandy Boyd creates one-of-a-kind oil and acrylic painting commissions, where she thrives in capturing the clients’ vision. Working closely with you, Mandy will tailor the painting to your specifications, transforming your most precious photographs and creative ideas into works of art to be treasured.

Working with Mandy

Mandy will discuss canvas size and orientation options based on what would be best for your specific artwork. High quality mediums, paint and canvases are used to ensure your painting will last the test of time. Mandy will present you with two photographed progress images along the way. These updates will give you confidence that the work is progressing in the way you were hoping and provide the opportunity for you to request minor alterations.

Commissions Packages

Mandy is comfortable painting in all sizes, so for size options outside of this range, Mandy can discuss pricing with you. Prices may increase depending on the number of people, and level of detail. Mandy will confirm the price after seeing the commission photograph and discussing ideas.

Commission Painting Terms of Service

  • A 25% deposit will be required prior to commencement of the painting to reserve the booking space. The remaining balance will be required at completion, before shipping.
  • Paintings will usually have around a 3-6 week turnaround. If painted in Oil paint, the paint takes 12-14 days to dry which adds considerably to turnaround time. Larger and more complicated commissions may take longer however a turnaround time will be estimated for the client before commencing the work.
  • The artist will try hard to help with specific time requirements and will keep the client updated with how the timeframe is looking.
  • All paintings will be on quality canvas.
  • All artwork remains the intellectual property of the artist. No copies or reproductions are to be made without permission from the artist.
  • The artist has the right to post images of the painting on social media and website gallery page. Photos of the painting may be used by the artist for marketing purposes.
  • The artist takes no liability for any artwork that is lost, stolen or damaged in transit.

Reference Photo Requirements

  • Reference photograph must be the client’s own, or have permission from the owner.
  • The photograph must be of good quality. The better quality of the image, the better and more detailed the painting will be. If you have a number of suitable photographs, the artist and client can choose which would be best.
  • The artist has the right to refuse the commission if no photos are provided that meet the specifications.
